Details

This load has been specially designed for self defense and police use. By reducing recoil, the shooter is able to maintain a more focal shooting pattern during rapid firing.

With less felt recoil than full velocity loads, Express Managed-Recoil Buckshot is an ideal close-range performer. Less recoil means second shot recovery is quicker, allowing the user to get back on target more easily. These new loads are built with the same precision of our standard 8-pellet 00 Buckshot loads and are buffered for dense patterns, allowing for highly effective performance at up to 40 yards. - Remington.com

A: "Managed Recoil" is Remington's way of saying that this 12ga 00 buck ammo has less kick than standard 00 buckshot. This is normally accomplished through a reduction in the number of buckshot pellets or a reduction in muzzle velocity, or both. However, it's still a great choice for defensive shotgun ammunition.
