The Union Metallic Cartridge Company was founded in 1867 and merged with Remington in 1888. For a while their 190 foot shot tower was the tallest building in Connecticut, but now it’s City Place I in Hartford. That skyscraper is full of business management consultants, which we believe are nowhere near as important as shot. But hey, that’s progress for you.
Remington didn’t need to drop this 223 Rem cartridge’s 55 grain bullet from a great height to make it just right. Its uniform lead core and thin copper jacket both make it an accurate bullet to enjoy at the range, and the latter will keep your rifle’s bore unbefouled by lead residue in the aftermath of a mag dump. UMC focuses on making a select few popular loadings very well, so you’ll not only enjoy premium components that have been assembled with care, but a very friendly price tag as well!

Picked up 100 rds to go shoot a buddies Rock River AR. My 1st time with one. No failures, as accurate as I could shoot, even beat my buddy on a backwoods challenge at 75 yards using his rifle. Will be buying a lot more of this now that my custom AR order has been placed. (Posted on 2/10/2012)
