Details

Whether for personal defense with your carry revolver or light varmint hunting with your favorite lever-gun, you'll find that these .357 Magnum rounds from Federal exhibit appropriate performance for the task. Each of these cartridges propels a 158-grain jacketed hollow point (JHP) which bears a wide-mouth cavity in its exposed lead tip; this construction promotes dependable expansion during entry which prevents over-penetration, creates a larger wound cavity, and delivers massive energy to vital zones. The projectile has a truncated cone shape that aids in cylinder or side gate loading; its hollow cavity facilitates safe storage in a tubular magazine.

The bullet is crimped within a reloadable brass case at its ribbed cannelure which prevents accuracy-ruining displacement under recoil. The case is plated with nickel which not only resists corrosion from storage or carry but lowers friction for seamless loading and ejection. At the base of the case is a clean-burning Boxer primer with moisture-resistant sealant. Federal is a well-respected ammunition manufacturer that is trusted by competitors, hunters, and law enforcement officers all around the country.

A: Hello Bill, This ammunition is loaded with a standard jacketed hollow point projectile. There should be no concerns using this in a ported barrel as the projectile is not plated.
