The 125 grain projectile used in this ammunition is a variant of that found in the popular Golden Saber series. It is a spiral-cut brass-jacketed design that provides superior penetration and reliable expansion.
This ammo uses a +P load and should only be used in firearms capable of handling its higher pressures. In the case of the .38 Special, this includes most older firearms as well as new ones due to a downloading of the standard SAAMI spec in the 1970s.
Ultimate Defense ammunition uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and nickel-plated brass cases that resist wear and tear and corrosion over long periods of being carried but not fired. Like other Remington ammo, Ultimate Defense ammo is loaded in Lonoke, Arkansas.
