Seen as a definitive solution to overpenetration concerns in several scenarios, not the least of which is urban area home protection or personal defense protection in highly populated areas. The frangible round by SinterFire is a non-lead design that essentially utilizes a metal powder, pressed together to create a projectile that can “dissipate” upon impact with a hard object. One might be able to draw the simple conclusion that the round delivers maximum energy on target, but it’s not as a simple as that and the point of the round is more of a risk mitigation concept rather than an energy dump concept.

That doesn’t discount this 45 ACP ammo’s potential for stopping power, rather it refocuses the potential buyer on the ancillary benefits of using the round. For those who have legitimate worry for ricochet or wall penetration, this round offers a proven protection against such occurrences. For those who work in employment that requires carrying a firearm in a populated area, this round offers some basic protections inherent to the design.

For ranges that do not allow certain calibers or projectile types, a sintered metal frangible projectile is almost always a preference if not a mandatory stipulation. The Boxer primed brass means you can reload the round even If you don’t prefer to buy more of it for your specific use cases, though it has proven itself in a few market segments as a fantastic round.
