- 500 Rounds of .45 ACP Ammo by Remington - 230gr JHP
Details
If you are on the hunt for premium American-made self-defense ammo by a company with two centuries of manufacturing experience, you have come to the right place.
This .45 ACP ammo by Remington Golden Saber has it all: nickel-plated brass casings, low flash primers, and 230gr jacketed hollow point (JHP) projectiles designed to put a threat on its back. The anti-corrosive nature of the nickel-plated brass allows it to be stored for an extended period of time without impacting performance. The casings are Boxer-primed and reloadable.
The projectile's jacket is made of brass which helps it maintain its weight for a more forceful impact. Remington cuts the mouth of the bullet in their own unique spiral formation that prompts the bullet to explode into a wide mushroom shape for maximum terminal performance.
With this .45 ACP Golden Saber ammo, you get law-enforcement quality self-defense ammo backed by Remington. This 500-round bulk case will allow you plenty of premium ammo to practice with so you can hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Order your case today!

I tried many brands of ammo in my Wilson, and Remington Golden Saber is my preferred round. The feeding ramp on a 1911 is about 85 degrees, and not compatible with all ammo out there. I'e never had a feeding problem with this ammo, and never had a stovepipe jam. Federal can be very problematic with this weapon, and my 1911 would not even shoot one round of it. I tried every weight bullet in JHP and FMJ from Hornady, Cor-Bon, Federal and Remington, and 230 grain, JHP Golden Saber from Remington shoots the best, has the greatest accuracy all around. I can hit 1 ⅜" to 1 ½" grouping at 21 and 31 yards respectively without a gun rest. Granted the weapon is high-end and extremely accurate, but inconsistent ammo can fly all over the place. I use the same ammo at the range as I do in a CCW. A bit pricey, but I know exactly where the round is going whether it's at the range or elsewhere. I've always thought what you use at the range is what you should use in a CCW. That's the last place you want any surprises. I will continue to experiment with different rounds, but this one is my current favorite and will probably remain so. (Posted on 12/30/2015)

I like this ammo as much as I do Gold Dot, and that says a lot. Very accurate, no FTF's or FTE's. My Colt Custom Combat Commander loves this stuff! (Posted on 12/5/2014)

I own a Wilson Combat 1911 CQB Elite. This Remington ammo is one of the few brands that fire consistently and correctly in my 1911. Other brands constantly misfire and jam in the feeder mechanism. It is also one of the brands Wilson Combat recommends. Consistency and accuracy is a must in any ammo used for self defense. If your ammo jams, you could be dead, so price is not really the key issue here. However, the price is very reasonable. Retail price for .45 ACP ammo can run in excess of $1.00 each, so this Remington Golden Sabre seems a real bargain, given it's continued and consistent performance on the range and elsewhere. I've hit a dead center bullseye at 35 feet more than once with Remington. Not so with other loads and brands, where I feel lucky to hit anywhere in the concentric rings of the bullseye. Granted, the pistol is outstanding, but even the most expensive pistol in the world is only as good as the ammunition and the shooter. I can hit about 1 inch groupings at 31 and 35 feet, and that's not easy to do with other brands I've tried. This will continue to be my 'go to' load. It's not easy to get such a good price nor amazing accuracy in hollow points, but Remington seems to have the problem well-in-hand. (Posted on 11/16/2014)
