The high velocity of this ammunition helps it produce more reliable expansion. In order to mitigate the increased recoil that normally comes with high-velocity powder charges, the rounds use a lighter bullet than the typical 230 grain projectile. This also reduces the chance for overpenetration, which is often a major concern in a self-defense situation.
This ammo uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. It's a great carry load for 1911s and other .45 Auto pistols that can handle +P ammo.
