These "green tip" 5.56x45mm cartridges a favorite among AR enthusiasts for their consistent performance and heavily researched and supported ballistic tables! Each of these rounds is constructed using a reloadable brass casing which has been annealed in order to prevent splitting at the neck and shoulder; this not only ensures long life for handloaders but contributes to safe, steady chamber pressures. The case is fitted with a clean-igniting Boxer primer which is packed with sealant for moisture-resistance in storage or field conditions.

Topping off the cartridge is the well-known SS109 projectile which weighs in at 62 grains and possesses a mild penetrating core. At the bullet's crimp diameter is a ribbed cannelure which prevents setback and jostling in order to yield the greatest accuracy possible despite rough handling and recoil. This configuration is an exact match for NATO-spec M855 cartridges and is manufactured in Lithuania for use by military allies. Buying in bulk with these surplus rounds is a great way to get CIP approved 5.56mm ammunition at a reasonable cost.
