Details

This 20 Gauge shotshell from Federal’s Top Gun line of shotgun ammunition is loaded with ⅞ ounces of #9 lead shot. The approximately 510 .08” diameter pellets are very hard, which enables them to maintain their spherical shape until they exit the muzzle at a velocity of 1,210 fps in order to deliver a tight, consistent pattern with each shot. The shot’s high pellet count makes it extremely popular for trap, skeet, and sporting clays. That it is such a popular choice among Olympic athletes really says all there needs to be about its great faculty at the range.

This shell additionally features a sturdy plastic hull with a tight eight segment crimp, consistent and reliable Federal primer, and unique wad column which works to create consistent patterns. Federal has always stayed at the forefront of their industry’s technological scene since they were established in 1922 -- this shell represents a lot of research and innovation, and all for a reasonable price.

A: Hi Kris. Depending on the distance, any load with a shot size between #8 and BB would probably do fine. If you expect to shoot at longer distances, then a larger, heavier shot would be appropriate. Make sure shooting feral animals is permitted in your area before you do though!
