Details

A load that is generally pegged straight to the target load segment of the market, but which is equally good at small game close-in work and can be used in lieu of lead shot in watershed areas or for upland game birds. The top-quality build by Fiocchi is a value add, especially given the very competitive price point. These are 20 gauge shells that offer a steel shot payload of 7/8 ounce and featuring #7 shot.

A dedicated low recoil load, these are perfect for close shots on moving birds with the moderate velocity, but still offering that lightweight recoil profile. The capability of taking out small game with the easy follow up shot capability thanks to this lower recoil and lower dram equivalent powder charge without losing too much efficacy on target, is substantial.

This of course, is a known load that works consistently on the range with clay targets as well. The faster follow up shots and the adequate velocity combined with the large enough shot size (#7), means your clay game just got better. In-all, this is an excellent choice for the money to keep on the shelf, especially for those who favor steel instead of lead.

A: Hello Chris! I wound't recommend this ammo for home defense. Its small, lightweight shot isn't well-equipped to neutralize a human-sized threat, and steel can easily ricochet off of hard surfaces at close range. I regret that we haven't got optimal 20 Gauge ammo for home defense in stock at the moment – all we have is good for trapshooting and sporting clays. We update our inventory frequently, but if you'd rather look elsequere I'd highly recommend that you get buckshot. Anything from #4 to 00 buck will serve you better for home defense.
