Details

Ideal for use in AR-15 pattern rifles, these bulk boxes of 100-round .223 Remington ammunition from Federal are a great way to save money on your next range trip. Made in the USA, they will produce great groupings and clean shooting. This ammo uses reloadable brass cases and offers typical .223 ballistics with its 55-grain full metal jacket bullet and muzzle velocity of 3,240 fps.

This ammunition should be distinguished from Federal’s XM193 5.56 NATO rounds. Unlike those higher-pressure cartridges, it will fire safely in any firearm chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington.

Federal Premium Ammunition manufactures self-defense and range ammo with a strong reputation for quality and consistency. Headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota, and has extensive experience making ammunition for AR-15 platform rifles.

A: Oh yes, absolutely! Federal American Eagle is one of the most popular brands of ammo for range training and target shooting with a variety of 223 rifles, and your Axis should perform flawlessly with this ammo. If you'd like to pick up a little something you could use for varmint hunting and self-defense, then I'd also recommend this ammo by PMC: bulkammo.com/bulk-223-ammo-223rem55grsppmc-20. Its bullet will expand within soft tissue to deal greater damage than a (nonexpanding) FMJ is capable of.
