This is the same .223 ammo you know and love from Federal, but this configuration comes packaged in a ammo can which makes it perfect for long-term storage! Each ammo can is filled with 10 boxes with 100 rounds in each box.
This ammo is non-corrosive, brass cased, boxer-primed, and reloadable. Each round features a 55 grain FMJ projectile that makes this a perfect round for range training!
Federal has been manufacturing ammunition since 1922 in Anoka Minnesota. Grab a few of these ammo cans today and build up that stockpile!

I received the order in two days. I was releaved when i opened the box and the ammo was in ten 100 round boxes when i just expected 1000 loose rounds in the tin. I just ran 400 rounds through my AR today with no issues other than just operator error. The only dissapointments I had was that the individual boxes were a bit of a chalenge to open due to my lack of nails, and the metal case left alot to be disired, the paint was uneven at best and had several scratches through out it, however to be fair, none of us spent this amount on the ammo tin.

I ordered 1k rounds of the Fed / AE 5.56 ammo and have shot 100 rounds with no issues. Bulk Ammo shipping was quick and delivery was made in a few days. I also ordered 1k rounds of 45 ACP, but have not shot any of that ammo yet.

The ammo was great not one jam or miss fire. At 300 yards was incredibly accurate. Shot 600 rounds one day and cleaned out gun with very minimal residue. All in all great but and worth the few cents more a round to get the "good stuff" plus the ammo can is handy. (Posted on 7/14/2014)

The 100 round boxes were a pleasant surprise for me. I was so glad the rounds weren't loose in the case. Price was very good. Least expensive I've found. I actually like the case the most. Very sturdy and will probably last me a lifetime.

So far I've burned through about 600-700 rounds, in the 2-3 weeks since I have had this batch of ammo. No misfires, will punch through 1/4" plate steel at 100 yards like butter. Gun seems to stay clean considering how much I've put through it.
Plus it is made in the U.S.A. and the ammo can is always good to have around. Will definantly be ordering more in the near future. (Posted on 6/4/2012)

Q: Is this ammo ok to shoot at an indoor range ? The ammo that you can shoot there cannot attract a magnet.

Yes, these 55gr. FMJ rounds by Federal in .223 are safe to shoot at an indoor range. They have a lead core, copper jacket, and a brass case. They are non-magnetic and can be fired on ranges that do not allow magnetic rounds.
