Details
Federal's American Eagle line of ammunition is everything you need for a day of hard (or fun) training at the range. Federal is one of the most popular manufacturers in the country, and it is not hard to see why. Each round in this case of 500, is loaded with a 55 grain FMJ bullet, which is ideal for range training, rifle drills, and 3-gun competitions. This ammo will also closely match the ballistic trajectory of 55 grain hunting and home defense rounds.
Federal ammunition is proudly produced in Anoka, Minnesota, using American materials and American labor. Each round is manufactured using Boxer primed brass casings.

I've used this brand of ammo before, but not in this caliber. I have not had a problem using this ammo in my Colt Sporter AR. The shipping was really fast but I asked for signature required and what a mistake that was! The only way you can get your product if you receive it that way is to actually sign for it at your door. Purchased 500 rounds for range use. Ammo performs well and loads are consistent, clean, and well priced. I found that 5.56 performs a bit better, but nothing wrong at all with this 223 for punching paper targets or even bad guys should that ever be necessary. (Posted on 9/29/2014)
