Barnes’ VOR-TX ammunition makes this .243 Winchester ammo into light recoiling deer slayer with their copper bullet technology!

The .243 Winchester is one of the most popular hunting rounds ever, but experts usually regard bullets lighter than 90 grains as unsuitable for medium sized game such as deer. All that changes with the Barnes VOR-TX ammo, which utilizes an all copper bullet with a polymer tip that guarantees instant expansion. The all copper construction gives maximum weight retention, putting these soft shooting 80 grain .243 Winchester rounds squarely into “deer killing” territory.

The Barnes VOR-TX line of ammo offers the precision and accuracy of handloads with the convenience of retail. If you don’t have time to roll your own rounds for deer season, simply order a box of these .243 Winchester VOR-TX rounds and you’ll be ready to go in no time. No more wasting hours on load development, just zero and go!

Barnes loads these rounds in boxes of 20 at their facility in the heart of America in Utah. They’re ready for deer season right out of the box.

A: Yes, this ammo uses brass cases that are ideal for reloading.

A: Not necessarily. With some calibers, a lighter bullet that is faster is therefore a little flatter shooting than a slower, heavier bullet. Other times, the heavier, and longer, bullets are more aerodynamic and although they still start off at a slower speed, they retain more speed at range, dropping less and also retaining more energy. Although this Barnes TTSX .243 bullet is only 80 grains, because it is solid copper, it is less dense, longer, and therefore more aerodynamic than a lead core bullet of the same diameter and mass. It would be a good choice for deer sized game.
