This 146 grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) round is fired at 2,741 fps with consistent accuracy at mid-to-long range. The bullet is magnetic due to the steel in the FMJ. This ammo performs well, I can average a 3/4 inch group out of my Sage M1a Scout EBR build @ 100 yards and that's remarkably consistent for the price, the only thing that shoots better is 168gr HPBT match. They say it's non-corrosive but it's one of the nastiest tarriest stuff i've ran through this rig. If you leave that in your rig for any amount of time you will see blue corrosion form from the ammonia content of the powder they use. My buddy's with the FNAR's seem to be more effected than the M14 platform guys I roll with. (Posted on 9/27/2020)

This Ammo works really well in my Ruger Scout as well as my AR-10, the 10 had a couple of Jams early on, but that was due to the Magazine, not the Ammunition, definitely worth purchasing this ammunition! cheap, reliable, and most importantly, RELOADABLE. (Posted on 2/25/2018)

i ended up buying this from the reviews and i got to say it shoots wonders for my sig 716 patrol. so far went through over 200 rounds in one day and no problems. i always clean my gun after and it didnt even seem to leave much behind. cant wait till it restocks because its one the best bang for your buck for target pratice. Orderes a pack of 240 rounds fired the first 20 rounds with 2 serious jams and several very difficult exrtractions. cleaned at and tried again with same results I fired a total of 60 rounds with 12 jams and 19 seriously deformed brass. I switched to American Eagle and not a single jam or difficult extraction. My Ruger Scout just does not like this ammo. I will be giving these away (Posted on 4/13/2016)

Maybe the lot i recieved was bad. 25% were failure to fire. When they did fire the groups were pretty bad. I was pulling half inch groups with smkbthp and tried these out last with an average grouping at 100yds about 3 inches :/ Ill keep it for if shtf but even then, eek. (Posted on 4/10/2016)

I gave this ammo 5 stars because it works well and its cheaper than competitor ammo "BUT" if you plan on reloading this ammo forget it!!.
instead of a single flash hole in the center it has 2 "small" flash holes on the sides of the primer pocket, you cant decap these rounds.
so shoot it n leave it on the ground at the range.

Shoot 500 rds through a Rem700, with and without silencer.

Just shot about 100 rds thru my National Match M1A and have to say that this is definitely reliable ammo...fun to shoot with no problems... However...like so many things in life, you get what you pay for.. this ammo is NOT very accurate... My M1 has been zeroed with 175gr Gold Metal Match thru a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50, and although his is 146gr, it is all over the place... Like I said..no real complaints here...it's reliable and not dirty... Fun for your kids or friends or girlfriends to shoot... Just don't hunt or compete with this stuff.. (Posted on 3/3/2016)

WOW. I wish I had the money to buy another 960 rounds. Best bulk .308 I've ever shot. Reliable and super accurate. Shot 60 rounds out of my ruger scout and it looked like I shot maybe 10 rounds out of it because it's super clean. I'm going to start reloading .308 and I Wish I knew what kind of powder they use. Never had a FTF and never had any issues with unburnt powder left over inside the rifle. It fired every time and it was very easy to clean afterwards. Comparing it to ammo from say PMC, it doesnt leave a bunch of gunk inside your rifle and residue everywhere. Sure the brass looks slightly aged compared to PMC, but the packaging and quality is amazing. Each case is sealed in a plastic bag and even has a carrying handle. You cant go wrong with this ammo! I never used Hirtenberger before and was skeptical on buying 960 rounds but it paid off very well. My AR-10 is custom built using JP Ent. Silent Capture Sring Kit, JP BCG, adjustable gas block, and barrel is a Rhino .308 18". No miss fires, no feeding issues and just no problems at all. Ammo is clean and packaged very well. Have now run about 800 rounds through Springfield M1A (socom), with no trouble. Some have said its a little dirty, but I didn't see that yet. Packaged nicely for storage. I used Hirtenbeger .308 ammo extensively in the 90's when it and British RadGreen dominated the surplus market It is clean, very accurate and I never had a FTF when using it.
I ordered this ammo on a non business day and it was delivered
two business days later; great service. Pricing and shipping from Bulkammo was less than other on-line competitors and believe me I did a lot of research before ordering. The ammo I received was head stamped 08, clean and professionally packaged.

My first bolt action rifle was a Weatherby Super Varmint Master I purchased in the early 90's. Hertinberger surplus was prevalent everywhere and that is what I took to the range with me. I soon discovered that, with the aid of a Leupold 6-18x40 scope, off the bench, I could take out the target patches that come with Shoot & See targets (half inch circle) at 120 yards. Due to range limitations I never had the opportunity to take it out further. Consistent, accurate, and reliable and hard to beat at the price being offered.
