500 Rounds of 9mm Ammo by Brown Bear (Steel Casing) - 115gr FMJ

I ordered 500 rounds and have shot 250 of them so far with my Walther CCP and have not had one misfire or any issues. I think its great ammo for the range and can't beat the price. (Posted on 9/19/2015)

Had a misfire about every 10 rounds through my Glock 19 and M&P Shield. Problem was the firing pin would strike and indent the primer, but the round would not fire. You should only use this ammo for the range, you will get good at clearing malfunctions. (Posted on 8/30/2015)

Great ammo for RANGE use, not intended for personal defense ammo. Have ran hundreds of rounds through my Gen 3 Glock 19, no issues whatsoever. Keep your firearm PROPERLY cleaned and lubricated and you shouldn't have any problems. Will be buying more (Posted on 5/21/2015)

Go with PMC or another product. Similar price with a lot less headache. I don't enjoy pushing a hard jam out of my barrel using a screw driver. This ammo, due to the coating and case gave me three hard jams on a cleaned glock 17. Had to take out the barrel and push the expended case back out using a screw driver. Stay away from this ammo. So I used my wife's, her gun did the same. Spent about a total of 45 minutes taking empty shells out of barrel. Now I'm going to try and sell it at a flea market cause I won't use it. I had my order 4 days after purchase, which was fantastic. Order shipped from Kentucky to Michigan. I had 1 miss fire out of 100 rounds but I have a double action gun so I pulled the trigger again and it went off the second time. This ammo is very dirty. You can see more un-burned powder and fouling come out of the muzzle than ammo I'm used to using and there was way more build up on the inside of my pistol than I'm used to. If you're looking for inexpensive, reliable ammo for your Saturday afternoon trips to the range, Brown Bear is it! Honestly, I had never heard of it before...and I was a little apprehensive when I ordered it the first time. But now that I've bought it and shot it, I not only recommend it...but I'll be ordering another 500 rounds this weekend when payday rolls around. Stock up!

As some of the other reviews say, it is a little smoky and dirty; but what bargain ammo isn't? That's my reason for the 4-Stars on Performance. Otherwise, I would give it 5-Stars across the board. And since I'm a stickler about keeping all of my guns spit-shine clean, it's really no big deal. Just plan on spending an extra few minutes cleaning your piece at the end of the day.

My wife and I ran 200 rounds through 3 different pistols, and it performed flawlessly! Not a single misfeed. Not a single misfire. Not a single jam. Not a single FTF. And we found it to be as accurate as any 9mm ammo I've ever shot. And at just over 30-cents a round, you simply can't beat it.

So it's a little dirty. Big deal. Spend an extra 10-minutes cleaning your gun. I highly recommend Brown Bear; good ammo at a great price! (Posted on 4/6/2014)

I had one miss fire out of 50 rounds. Ammo seems to be very accurate at 21 feet. It does not burn cleanly. This ammo is very dirty as I figured since it's cheap Russian ammo. If you purchase this ammo plan on taking extra time cleaning your pistol. Overall, I will be purchasing more in the future. (Posted on 3/28/2014)

I shot 1000 rds from my glock 17 and not 1 jam or misfire. all smooth like butter. shot at a small metal tank (empty tank) and was very accurate the whole time. took about 50 rds to zero all three targets but functioned perfectly!!! just bought 500 more!!! (Posted on 3/18/2014)

With older guns having weaker slide springs Brown Bear Ammo functions fine, How ever a newer gun with stiffer springs tends to not have enough gas pressure to work the bolt. Cheap to plink. But not something I would put in a weapon for defense. (Posted on 10/9/2011)

Bought this ammo for my 92fs and had zero malfunctions. Ammo is pretty accurate and had no problems with firing it at an indoor range as i had read somewhere. I did however feel the rounds ejecting slugishly after a while due to the heating laquer, also it burns pretty dirty for me which isnt a problem if your good at keeping up with the cleaning of your guns. my taurus 92 doesn't like it much. this is the only ammo that causes stove pip malfunctions. I even tried multiple magazines and extra cleaned the feed ramp. except for this, brown bear works fine and a bargain for plinking at the range but not for competition fire (Posted on 8/25/2011)

I hope you guys (bulkammo) can ship this box of 500 rds without the sticker on the side so that not everyone is going to know that this box contains ammo. My neighborhood is bad now, and that's why I start using handgun. On the other hand, I also get worried when the box got dropped on my door step. Some stupid crackheads actually jumped the fence. Bought 500 rounds for less than a hundred bucks. The bullet does not look shiny, but it does resemble the name Brown Bear. I've fired 200 rounds and no misfire. The shells does not feel as hot as others when their ocassional hits against my arms after ejection. Most of other ammo I've fired, they have 2 holes at the bottom of the shell, where the primer was. However, all of Brown Bear I've fired, they all have 3 holes. That's cool. (Posted on 8/21/2011)
