A novel and very interesting evolution of the ultralight engineered projectiles for duty 9x19 ammunition. Whether it will be proven out in real world tests is yet to be seen, but for certain applications this is a very interesting cartridge for consideration. It offers a staggeringly high 2,040 feet per second velocity out of the barrel, and the impact induces an immediate wound channel size increase that sends the material on the outside of the cavity spiraling outward to increase the wound channel diameter, while the base of the bullet continues to travel in up to about 8-10 inches of penetration in ballistic gelatin testing.
The testing parameters however, fail to accurately represent the potential of the rounds, because the parameters aren’t able to be compared apples to apples. No other 9mm Luger round can compete with the speed, and this speed creates potential for a wound channel that is not as elastic as the lower velocity rounds it competes against, meaning if it is proven to be an effective threat stopper, this round could represent one of the most significant engineering developments in self-defense ammo in recent history.
