For every box of USA VALOR ammunition Winchester sells, they make a donation to Folds of Honor – a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to family of fallen and injured members of our Armed Forces. We’re already off to a good start.

This is Winchester’s standard military grade 5.56x45 M855 ammunition, and it’s a sure bet for any AR-15 rifle whether you’re anticipating some serious target practice or prepping for an emergency.

The M855 bullet is a 62 grain full metal jacket with something special beneath the tip of its gilding metal shell: a solid steel “penetrator” tip. This equips the bullet to puncture and pass through sheet metal and other light barriers. If the bullet winds up penetrating soft tissue, there is a good chance it will break in two to track multiple wound channels!

Winchester’s military grade brass cases are not polished. This makes them less reflective – an advantage for our troops who would rather not signal their position to the enemy. To be sure, the cases are new production, and their non-corrosive Boxer primers will not harm your rifle.

This magnetic ammo comes four boxes to a new production steel ammo can. That’s a welcome bonus if you intend to stockpile your ammo, as the can’s gasketed lid will keep its contents safe and fresh for ages.
