Out of Stock

Ammo Overview

Ammo Quantity - 50 rounds (10 boxes per sleeve, 5 rounds per box)
Ammo Manufacturer - Federal Premium LE
Shot Load - 1 oz. Rifle Slug
Shell Length - 2-3/4 Inches

Federal's TruBall system was designed with 12 gauge hunters and law enforcement personnel in mind. The technology packed into each shell makes for more accurate shots at distance, giving the user a distinct advantage when stalking deer or defending the home. An enhanced degree of down-range precision is achieved by the use of a special ball and wad which travel down the barrel behind the one ounce lead slug in order to keep its skirt flared and its bottom edge level; this ensures uniform contact between the slug's rifling and the walls of a smooth bore barrel, resulting in a consistent angle of exit from the muzzle.

The bare lead slug wears a small divot in its top, promoting rapid expansion during entry into a target; this helps transfer energy from the projectile into the target for threat-stopping or game-dropping terminal performance. The components are contained within a moisture-resistant plastic hull which has a total length of 2-3/4 inches for compatibility with nearly every 12 gauge shotgun on the market. Along with the hulls, Federal makes their own brass heads and non-corrosive 209-size primers for reliable extraction and ignition respectively.
