In Ancient Rome, Centurions were chosen for their size, strength and dexterity when throwing their weapons. The same can be said of the Centurion 12-gauge Multi-Defense Buckshot rounds, when it comes to size and strength.
Manufactured in the countryside of Italy since 1993, Nobel Sport took the concept of robust defensive power one step further. Originally designed for use by law enforcement agencies in Europe and abroad, they were quickly brought to the civilian market due to their popularity. Now, Nobel Sports exports these hard-hitting shells to the USA where they have been well-received. These Centurion 2 ¾” cartridges wield (1) .650” ball, that offers deep penetration, followed by (6) #1 buckshot pellets that increase impact points on the target. Those components combined produce impressive stopping power that no other defensive cartridge currently provides. Make no mistake, these are full-powered loads that extend to a longer range than a traditional 00 buck, with a muzzle velocity of 1,300 feet per second. These Multi-Defense 12-gauge slugs feature a brass head, plastic hull, and are ideal for either personal protection or law enforcement use. These excellent defensive loads come 10 rounds to a box.

One pellet of #1 buck weighs 40 grains, so this shell has approximately 240 grains of #1 buck. I know that the weight of a 0.648" diameter lead round ball is 410 grains, so I'll venture a 0.650" lead round ball weighs approximately 413 grains. If this shot contains antimony the weight will be a little less, but I can confidently venture that this shell contains a combined 653 grains of shot.
