Manufacturer - Federal American Eagle
Bullets - 55 grain full metal jacket (FMJ)

American made ammo for your .223 from Federal in the American Eagle line. This is a good general purpose ammunition for all builds which can shoot the .223 Remington, with a 3240 fps velocity out of the muzzle and a clean, consistent mass production quality to it.

A very “in-the-middle” load with a 55 grain projectile makes this suitable in virtually all AR type builds and covers a broad range of barrel twists to allow a good level of versatility.

American Eagle by Federal makes this load specifically for use in MSR’s (modern sporting rifles) and tout the easy, reliable feeding, the simple component mix (brass case, boxer priming, FMJ ball projectile) and the fact that the price point fits for the general purpose nature of the cartridge.

Federal has a great reputation in the 5.56x45 and .223 Remington market, in part due to the obvious Lake City connection and military contracts, but also because they utilize a set of protocols and specifications across the board for all their ammunition in those calibers.

This is a straightforward load for the AR platform, and will serve you well across a lot of builds. It is a good round for punching holes in paper, fooling around with varmints or small game and for short a medium range (up to 200 yards) target/plate work.

Packaged in boxes of 20 cartridges.
