Details

With this 1000 round case of Blazer Brass ammo in 9mm Luger, there’s no need to compromise between price and quality when it comes to pistol practice. This 9mm Parabellum ammunition from CCI meets SAAMI specs and uses CCI’s own well-regarded primers. Each cartridge, cased with reusable brass, fires a light 115-grain bullet at a relatively fast 1145 fps.

Blazer Brass bullets have a lead core and are made through the electronic plating method. The process is very time-efficient as it allows for massive quantities of projectiles to be formed simultaneously. Once the copper has electronically bonded to the lead cores, the projectiles are then moved to a tumble wash to be cleaned, polished, and prepared for loading.

CCI is an Idaho-based ammunition company that produces the Blazer and Blazer Brass centerfire pistol product lines as well as a selection of well-regarded rimfire hunting and plinking rounds. The company was founded in 1950s by Richard Speer, brother of Speer Bullets founder Vernon Speer. As divisions of Alliant Techsystems, both companies continue to work closely together to develop and produce innovative ammo with top quality components.

A: Hello James, These 115gr. FMJ rounds by Blazer Brass in 9mm have a lead core, copper jacket, and a brass case. They are non-magnetic and are safe to shoot on a range that does not allow magnetic rounds.

A: While you can collect the brass cases to reload them yourself, these Blazer rounds are newly manufactured. They have never been fired before and are fresh off the factory assembly line.

A: Luger is one designation for the modern day 9mm round commonly used in pistols and carbines. Luger happens to be the last name of the guy who originally designed this round, George Luger. This round may also be referenced as Parabellum (a portion of a latin phrase) or 9x19mm (dimensions of this round) or, of course, 9mm. All of these names mean the same thing and will vary depending on the manufacturer. This cartridge will function in your Ruger SR9C.

A: The main difference between the two is the 9 grain difference in bullet weight (115 and 124). This weight difference is not significant and shooters will not notice much of a difference if you are shooting pistol at close range. The 124 grain bullet may be desired for use in carbines or pistols that have difficulty cycling lighter bullets. Almost all modern pistols (Glock, Sig, Springfield etc) will be able to shoot either round without issue. Blazer brass is an excellent choice for target practice or competitive shooting.

A: The main advantage of shooting brass cased ammunition is that the individual cases can be reloaded easily. If you do not intend to reload the ammunition, you might find that saving money by buying aluminum or steel cased ammunition is a good idea.
