Details

A great 38 Special ammunition for the purist who enjoys shooting 100% lead projectiles but wants modern upgrades to the experience and needs the +P charge for targets, steel plates, or defensive purposes. This is a one-off mash-up of the famous Winchester semi wadcutter truncated profile, 158 grain lead projectile, and their newest nickel-plated brass and premium primers. The increased pressure that comes along with a +P load is just icing on the cake for those who need the added power to improve the trajectory over longer distance for target shooting, or who need the extra power on impact from the larger powder charge.

The attention to detail and the super high-end components makes this no ordinary target round for range duty, but a specialty offering that will offer accuracy well beyond the plinking ammunition you’re using now in your six-gun. It’s also suitable for the smaller .38 Specials that can handle the +P loads, and will easily up your stopping power with the malleability of the all lead bullet and the performance enhancements that come from the primer and casing over standard rounds.

NOTE: it is not safe to use this ammunition in any firearm that is not suitable for the +P rating of this round. Please consult your owner’s manual or an industry expert to help determine your firearm’s suitability for a +P ammo, if you are unsure of the suitability.

A: Hi Robert! Winchester didn't include the length of the test barrel they used to measure this round's muzzle velocity. I'll reach out to them and ask, and then update this comment if I hear back from them.
