Details

These 12 gauge shells are loaded for dedicated shotgun big game hunters with a rifled barrel. The saboted slug is made specifically for this purpose. Shot out of a smooth bore, there will be significant degradation in accuracy. This is a perfect round for hard regulatory regions, where copper in mandated. It is also a perfect round for those who want to legitimately harvest the biggest deer or similarly sized animals at 50-90 yards or so. The copper projectile is a significantly better performer for larger animals in most scenarios, over lead based projectiles out of a shotgun.

This is a 1-ounce payload that equates to a 438 grain nominal weight. Representing a massive energy transfer and with significant ballistics behind the projectile, this is a very good round to have for when you are wanting 100% reliability in your hunting shotgun. Remington already enjoys a very nice reputation for reliability. This shell is a high-end variant for the brand and benefits from increased oversight in loading and quality checks. It is among their more premium offerings.

The effective range is beyond 90 yards, but the sweet spot for this load is about 75-90 yards because it represents the most consistent trajectory line and the best energy delivery.
