RIO has a great reputation for producing top quality sporting shotgun shells that offer a good variety of use cases and can be implemented for any shot gun need. This is a 2 ¾”shotgun shell for the 12 gauge shotguns that need a general sporting round for clays and skeet as well as small game and birds. This load offers a unique 1 1/16 ounce #8 shot cup, which gives a bit more power on the uptake for small game and moving clays. This is a 250 round case lot.
The #8 shot is small and lightweight but does offer significant power for ranges up to about 15-20 yards. The extra payload helps push that number out another 15-20% further and ensures you get a better pattern out of the load. For small game it will be effective to that range on rabbit, squirrel and other small game, but perhaps not as effective for intermediate game or beyond the 30 yard range on very small targets.
