Q: Hello, I'm looking for a cartridge that will reach velocity with a 7" barrel. Do you folks use a fast(burning) powder in this cartridge?

A: Hi Damon! We don't actually make any ammunition – we're just a retailer. Unfortunately CCI hasn't disclosed the length of the test barrel they used to record this round's 2,100 fps muzzle velocity. I'll reach out to them to see if I can get that info, as well as whether this round would be supersonic out of a 7" barrel and what kind of propellant they load. I'll warn you you upfront that most manufacturers closely guard the propellant blends they use in their ammo, though!
