Details

The .270 cartridge is a well-known hunting load and has been a favorite of hunters since it was designed by Winchester engineers in 1923. Even though it hit the market in 1925, modern firearms are still being chambered with the load. The original design for .270 ammo came from the earlier .30-03 caliber round that debuted in 1903. Subsequently, the .30-03 spawned many other cartridges from its design specifications, many of which we all know today. The .270 Win is well known for its versatility as a hunting cartridge and its wide spread notoriety. The .270 Winchester has a variety of bullet weights and designs available for it, from 90 grain small animal loads, on up to 150 grain large animal loadings that combine speed with devastating penetration capabilities. These 130 grain Prvi Partizan SP or Soft Point bullets have a copper jacketed lead core, and are loaded into new, heavy duty, high polished, non-corrosive Boxer primed brass shells. The .270 Winchester rounds have a reported muzzle velocity of 3051-feet per second, and a muzzle energy of 2677-foot pounds. They come in solid packs of 20 rounds that are ready to take with you to range, or off on your next hunting trip. Get yours now.
