Details

Although it has mostly fallen out of use in favor of the 38 S&W Special, the 32 S&W Long is still favored by enthusiasts due in part to its widespread adoption among northeastern U.S. police departments around the turn of the century (thanks to Teddy Roosevelt). This cartridge is manufactured by Fiocchi, one of Italy's largest and oldest manufacturers of ammunition -- although they use gunpowder sourced from the U.S. It features a lead round nose, and as such offers superior kinetic energy on impact, excels in close range situations (“card table distance,” as it’s aptly put), has good penetrating power, and takes up less room in a cartridge case.

This cartridge is ideal for training, and a perfect investment for the hand reloader with its non-corrosive Boxer primed brass casing. Fiocchi’s commitment to precision manufacturing without cutting corners is sure to reflect itself while you’re punching holes at the range.

A: Thanks for reaching out Louis! Is your handgun chambered for 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, or 32 ACP? If it's a semi-auto then it's most certainly chambered for 32 ACP. I just want to make sure before I recommend you anything.

A: Thanks for reaching out Michael! A 357 Magnum handgun like yours can also fire 38 Special and 38 Special +P ammunition. 38 Special is weaker than 357 Magnum, but it still works fine. You handgun can not fire 38 S&W or any cartridge that begins with the number 32. Here is where things get a little more complicated. The full name of the 38 Special is "38 S&W Special," but literally no one refers to it as that. It's always just 38 Special, mainly to prevent confusing it with 38 S&W. I regret that we haven't got any ammo for your handgun in stock. The ammo drought is still going strong, but we do update our inventory often – I hope you will check in again soon to see what we can do for you.

A: Hi Phil! I'm afraid I can't in all fairness promise just when we'll get more of this ammo in stock, but we do update our inventory very often. I hope you'll check back in again soon to see how we can be of better use to you.
