Hardball rounds are perfect for long training sessions and offer a good way to break in new guns and keep old guns functioning smoothly. This is Independence Ammunition’s Hardball (FMJ) load and it’s got plenty of quality and attention to detail. That should come as no surprise though; as Independence Ammunition is a sister company to some of the largest ammunition producers in the world. Each of these companies implement a top tier quality control program and each has substantially similar quality coming out of the factory.

Independence is in good company as part of the Vista Outdoors Group, itself once a subsidiary of the ATK/OrbitalATK/Alliant Techsystems ecosystem. One of the largest defense and aerospace contractors in the world, OrbitalATK is now separated from the Vista Outdoors brand but retains a large ownership share: they know that ammunition companies are good investments. Independence now has the same type of structure and precision protocols as the rest of the companies operating under that umbrella, which includes Speer, Federal and CCI.

This 45 ACP ammo is loaded with a 230 grain full metal jacket bullet along with a brass case and a Boxer primer and it is made to a high level on Independence’s equipment that rivals other top tier facilities and with Independence’s quality control protocols, which are derived from some of the best in the game. This is a 1000 round case lot.
