Details

Speer Lawman ammo is some of the best practice ammo available, particularly for users of Gold Dot jacketed hollow points. Like other Lawman rounds, this .45 ACP load is designed to have the exact same shooting characteristics as its corresponding Gold Dot cartridge. This makes practicing with your carry ammo a breeze, rather than a garden path to bankruptcy! These .45 Auto rounds use a typical 230-grain full metal jacket and achieve a muzzle velocity of 845 feet per second. Each cartridge in this box of 50 uses Boxer-primed brass casings.

Note that this load uses a total metal jacket, which costs less to produce and reduces potential lead exposure but will not function well in ported barrels.
Speer is one of the leading brands of defense ammunition for law enforcement officers. The company’s Gold Dot rounds have found favor with numerous police departments including the NYPD. The company was founded in 1944 by Vernon Speer, whose brother Richard founded CCI nearby. Both companies continue to operate in their original Lewiston, Idaho locations as divisions of Alliant Techsystems.

A: No sir, this ammo has no steel or any other magnetic material inside it. Its bullet contains a copper jacket and lead core; its case is pure brass.
