Federal's new "Fusion” line, intended for whitetail deer hunting, gets its name from its electrochemically fused jacket designed to avoid core-jacket separation and ensure reliable expansion. Optimized specifically for a barrel length of 16" to 20”, this 6.8 Remington SPC load turns your AR into what Federal dubs an MSR, or "modern sporting rifle.” The boat-tailed, 115-grain hollow point bullet achieves a muzzle velocity of 2470 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 1158 foot pounds. In order to cater to this rifle type, the load uses fast-burning, low flash propellants as well as primers that work with free-floating firing pins. Each box holds 20 rounds.
