You don’t find many companies producing new ammo in the .222 Remington, the “mother cartridge” of 5.56 NATO. Fortunately, thanks to the cartridge’s continued popularity in Europe, Prvi Partizan has kept manufacturing the “triple deuce” and making it available worldwide. This particular load, designed for hunting small and medium sized game, uses a 50-grain soft point bullet and boasts a muzzle velocity of 3,133 feet per second, almost as much as M193 ball. Note that 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington are not interchangeable with this .222 Remington cartridge

Prvi Partizan, a Serbian company based in Uzice, loads ammo in more than 400 cartridges and exports to dozens of countries around the world. The company has operated since 1927, when it was founded by Jakob Posinger in a military barracks to produce military and hunting ammunition as well as armory services for military rifles.
