Federal Tactical Bonded cartridges are designed to provide reliable self-defense capability for law enforcement personnel. They get their name from the bonding process that keeps the lead core and copper jacket together, enabling them to punch through light cover and retain the ability to neutralize threats to the officer’s safety. The hollow point design delivers good expansion and stops the round from overpenetrating. This load uses a medium-weight 124 grain bullet and achieves a muzzle velocity of 1,160 feet per second. As a standard-pressure load, it is ideal for “pocket nines” such as the Kahr CW9, Sig P938, and Springfield XDS. Each box holds 50 Boxer-primed, nickel-plated cartridges.

Founded in 1922, Federal Premium Ammunition has supplied private shooters, police agencies, and the US military with ammunition for almost a century. Recent decades have seen a major reinvigoration of the company’s business as shooters adopted innovative rounds like Hydra-Shok, HST, Fusion, and other designs. The company also gained a major client when it was chosen to become the new operator of the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri, succeeding former operators such as Winchester and Remington.
