10 Rounds of 10mm Ammo by CCI Pest Control Shotshell - 95gr #8 Bismuth Shot

This is terrible, terrible 10mm ammo for defense – unless you are defending yourself against snakes and other vermin across very short distances. It’s CCI Pest Control Shotshell ammunition, which teaches pests that it is not OK for them to be around you!

This shell’s projectile is extremely light at 95 grains. The 10mm can fit over twice as much bullet as that, easily. But it’s “projectile” is actually a plastic capsule containing #8 shot, which breaks open on ignition to unleash a dense spray of 0.09” diameter pellets traveling over 150 fps faster than the speed of sound. That’s exactly the kind of thing that kills small animals deader than disco.

And this ammo is even more unusual still thanks to its absence of any lead. Its primers are Federal lead-free Catalyst primers, and its shot pellets are made of nontoxic bismuth. It’s environmentally friendly, albeit inimical to varmints!

This round’s case is made of aluminum. You cannot reload it. You also must refrain from firing shot through a ported barrel (or compensator), as a pellet may ricochet off of a port and hit you – and you are not a varmint.
