Details

It has been a long time since Federal started making ammunition -- that they used to sell their products in barber shops and gas stations ought to be telling enough. (We doubt that you’ll be able to buy ammo in the same place that you get your sideburns trimmed again.) In all that time the Minnesota-based company has innovated quite a lot, and has built up the impressive array of techniques and equipment that enabled them to have done so. That’s why when you’re looking for affordable ammo that still delivers the way you need it to when you want to enjoy your shotgun rather than cussing it out, Federal’s is the shoulder to tap on.

This 12 Gauge shell won’t put a sizable dent in your wallet, but its hard #8 lead shot and unique wad column still provide the consistent spread it takes to prematurely end the fast flight of small bird and spinning clay alike. Federal’s other components, including their reliable primer and even burning propellant, support satisfying sport and hunting nicely, and their strong hull is crimped just tightly enough to keep shot in place until it’s ready to fly.
