Ammo Overview

Quantity - 5 rounds per box
Manufacturer - Federal
Load - 2-3/4" 1 ounce TRUBALL Deep Penetrator Rifled Slug

Extreme accuracy and devastating terminal performance -- these are the qualities that you should search for in your self-defense shotgun slug, and they’re the two glowingest features of this 12 gauge shell by Federal. That’s because it showcases the TRUBALL Deep Penetrator rifled slug, which you can group closer than 1.5 inches from 50 yards out. The base of the TRUBALL slug is concave, so it rests perfectly upon the solid polypropylene ball beneath it. Said ball sees to it that the slug travels evenly down a smooth bore, and it detaches cleanly upon exiting the muzzle!

It’s not only this slug’s fast 1,350 fps muzzle velocity that permits it to wreak havoc within whatever it finds its way into. The slug is enclosed within a copper shell, which along with its high antimony content means it penetrates exceptionally reliably and furthermore retains a better part of its weight. This is a hollow point slug to boot, although the rate with which it expands is controlled closely by the copper sheath that envelops it. You’ll also find that this shell delivers lesser recoil during ignition, as its special ribbed wad collapses to absorb some of the kick. It’s a perfect solution for self-defense in an uncertain world, and it won’t let you down if you’re hunting boar or whitetail, either!
