Details
These rifled slugs are ideal for the shotgun owner looking
to get some extra reach beyond what shotshells can provide. Capable of scoring
hits at 100 yards, Fiocchi’s slug leaves the muzzle at a magnum pistol velocity
of about 1300 feet per second while producing only gentle recoil that will make
shooting fun for anyone. This case of 80 slugs is packaged in a handy Plano
ammo can that you can reuse on future range trips.

Used this can of ammo to practice with my Remington 870. First few cycled well but once the shotgun started getting warm, rounds became more difficult to feed into the chamber. They would come out of the tube ok but chambering the round was difficult. Took a few jiggles on the fore end to get it to ramp up correctly into the chamber. Ok for practice, would definitely not use for anything other than that. (Posted on 8/10/2014)

I have used these slugs for over four years. Shooting over 300 a year. They are one of the most accurate slugs I have used. Easy off hand hits on bc zone targets at 100 yards and only 6" high at fifty. (Posted on 7/4/2014)
Soft Recoil, Big Arch

Low Recoil is right. Very soft shooting, at a price. The slug is so slow it makes a large arch out to 100 years. 10 to 12 inches high at 50 yards, puts it on the 12 inch target at 100 yards. Great if sighted in at 50 yards, only 4 inches high at 25 yards, but off target low at 100. Starts to yaw at 50 and is in complete tumble at 100. I will use only for training purposes. I have completed multiple SG courses and have tested a great number of slug brands & types available for 12 ga. I have found that the Fiocchi 7/8" oz Aero Slug is among the most accurate I have used. Obviously, each SG will shoot uniquely, but this ammo has worked very well through all my Benelli's and Remingtons without problems. (Posted on 11/20/2013)

Q: Will I be able to use this slug for my mossberg 500??? I was just curious because it says it's a rifle slug and my mossberg barrel is short not long

A: Hello Jimmy,
These 12ga. 2 3/4" rifled slugs by Fiocchi should function great in your Mossberg 500 shotgun. Rifled slugs are designed to be fired out of smooth bore barrels. These make excellent target, defense, and hunting shells.
