Ammo Overview

Quantity - 25 rounds per box
Manufacturer - Federal Black Cloud
Load - 12 ga 3" 1-1/4 Ounce #2 Steel Waterfowl Shot

Deliver a crushing blow to flocks of waterfowl everywhere with the big old shell from Federal Premium called Black Cloud. We are not sure if the naming refers to the cloud of birds you intend on taking down or the amount of lead you will rain down on them from your nearby blind location. Either way, there will be an improvement in your total number of birds taken this time around if you’re using this premium shotshell for waterfowl work. Don’t be bothered by the lack of performance from most steel loads. Instead, pick the Federal Black Cloud ammunition and get better than lead performance thanks to innovative thinking and great research and development muscle at the Federal Anoka plant.

This is a potent 3 inch Magnum shell that has a 1 ¼ ounce payload of mixed material steel alloy shot to the tune of a “massive amount” of pellets (which may or may not be a standardized measurement). The shot is #2, so you aren’t getting the wind deflection issues, and you can shoot a variety of waterfowl types with a single load in your gun. For shotgun rounds these are expensive, but the performance is virtually unmatched and the success ratio of the load will be impressive for anyone who hasn’t shot the stuff.
