Ammo Overview

Quantity - 50 rounds per box; 10 boxes per case
Manufacturer - Eley Edge
Bullet - 40 grain lead flat nose (LFN)
Casing - Rimfire-primed brass

ELEY is an English ammunition company that has been around since 1828 and now specializes in the production of 22 LR rimfire cartridges in addition to competition air pellets. Their ELEY edge line of ammunition sports a distinctive matte black oxidized finish, which increases the friction between the case and the projectile for greater internal ballistic consistency, resulting in a more reliable projectile flight.

This 22 LR cartridge by ELEY features a 40 grain lead flat nose bullet. The key value offered by that shape is the neat hole the bullet punches through a paper target, making it ideal for keeping score at competitive shooting or just getting instant feedback from your shots without having to examine your target up close. A flat nosed bullet may offer some advantage in self-defense applications as well, but it perhaps goes without saying that this cartridge isn’t the one to load in your everyday carry.
