Details

Purposely built for the match scene where competitors are shooting the AR platform, this load offers a competitive load that’s usable in 1:8; 1:9 and 1:10 twist rates with a relatively heavy 69 grain projectile that is an open tip match bullet. The quality control and excellent components gives shooters who do not hand load, or who shoot in matches that have strict specifications for cartridges, the ability to buy and have ready with premium results.

The brass is reloadable and the tolerances are ridiculously tight, not to mention world class quality control and some of the best components available on the market. Barnes understands the needs of shooters in competitions and has built an AR specific round for those who don’t want to compromise when they are shooting for recognition and money.

The specific clarification on the box puts forward an important point: when it comes to competition, you don’t interchange your .223 with your 5.56. This is 5.56x45 ammunition held to strict tolerances and built with that specific cartridge profile in mind. It is not suitable for use in the .223 there are several reasons for this, all centered around safety, pressures and performance (primer blow out and throat damage among others).

Made specifically for the twist rates that can reliably stabilize a 69 grain bullet, and made to SAAMI specs for the 5.56x45 in competition settings.
