Details
This .22 Long Rifle ammunition from Federal's Champion series is an accurate, cost-effective target load well suited to high volume target shooting and hunting. Each cartridge in this box of 525 fires a light 36 grain copper plated hollow point bullet at a high muzzle velocity of 1,260 feet per second. This helps it deliver deadly expansion against squirrels, rabbits, and other small game.
Federal rimfire ammunition is loaded at the company's 175 acre headquarters and main production plant in Anoka, Minnesota using rimfire-primed brass cases.

I average 5=7 FTE through my SW M&P 15/22, dont know why, but they just dont eject and i have to keep plucking the shells out....bulk ammo is great, this ammo shoots fine but doesnt eject. shoots fin through my heritage .22 revolver. (Posted on 2/21/2018)

I've been searching for bulk ammo since the temp's got above freezing around here and didn't have a lot of luck. I managed to find a couple of boxes of this ammo at a local gun store and snatched them up. I've only put 30 rounds through my Walther built Colt .22LR M4 style rifle. No failure to feeds; no failure to fire. all 30 rounds were in the black (and I'm not a strong shooter). The rifle tends to be pretty tempermental on feeding so it was important for me to find a round that worked reliably. If there were problems they would have shown up within the first 30 rounds.
Before I found this ammo CCI High Velocity rounds were my go-to ammo. I'll add these Federal rounds to the short list. (Posted on 6/8/2013)

I logged 11 underpowered rounds in my first 525 round box. They went 'POP', not 'BANG'. All in all, not bad for an inexpensive load. Mind you, I did not say cheap. There is a difference. I will buy more. (Posted on 11/2/2012)

I shoot lots of .22 and this is my absolute favorite ammo. I started using it a long time ago because it was a cheap deal, at the time about $8 for 525 rounds. Turned out though that this ammo out performed almost every other ammo I have tried. I use it in my Ruger Mk 1&3 as well as my Hi- Standard pistol and several different rifles. It is clean, accurate, and dependable with way less FTFs than Remington or Winchester ammo. Love this stuff. (Posted on 9/4/2012)

I put about 300 rounds through my brand new CMMG AR22 upper this morning. Only one stovepipe (probably weapon related, not an ammo problem). Not one single other failure of any kind. For CMMG products this stuff works great. (Posted on 3/3/2012)

standard 22lr is not recomended for the p22, it needs the hv 22lr as stated in the manuel. to fire standard 22 lr you need to have the extractor replaced with a aftermarket upgrade, tipical price is about $45 instaled (Posted on 2/13/2012)

i used federals in the past for my 22.lr auto , 1,or 2 jams ,or mis fires along the way . im going too see how they shot out of the new 22 sig. mosquito. plus i use federal 12ga. shot gun ammo. federal is a very good product for the price, quality, performance. id buy these product again ,,again. I used to only buy this ammo for my 10-22 and MkIII but I started using other ammo this past fall. While I would get 1 or 2 FTF/FTE per 525 box, the other three 22 LR ammo types I tried was much worse. I'm switching back to this stuff as soon as I use up this other ammo. Don't get me wrong, there's better stuff out there but for high volume plinking, it's a good deal. I go through 3-4k rounds a quarter between the kids and I and I typically buy 4200 rounds (8 boxes) at a time. (Posted on 3/30/2011)

I bought some of this ammo from a local sporting goods store to see how it worked in my new Walther P22 before I ordered a case from this website. This ammo will fail to feed in the P22. It doesn't produce enough pressure to cycle the action completly. I was forced to manually work the action the entire time on the range. I did not purchase this ammo from this site but I use this site to purchase my 40SW ammo so I wanted to give other shoppers before they run into the same problem I did. (Posted on 1/23/2011)

A: Thanks for reaching out Hu! Federal says this round's velocity at 100 yards is 1,003 fps. Based on that I calculate its G1 BC at 0.129. Assuming your sight height is 1.5", this round's bullet ought to have arched 0.05" at 25 yards if zeroed at 50. Without taking sight height into account you can expect a true 0.80".
Q: Why do most copper jacked .22 LR rounds come in Hollow Point? Even the high speed rounds seem to come almost exclusively in hollow points, would this reduce their speed and performance?

A: Hollow point 22LR ammunition is popular as being reasonably accurate for bulk ammo purposes. This does not have a negative effect on their speed or performance. If anything, it will help them perform better.
