Im using the remington core lokt 180 gr. in my marlin xl7 bolt action rifle. shot 9 rounds and found this ammo to be very consistent. after the 5 rounds to sight in for 100 yards the other 4 rounds grouping were all within a half an inch and i am very happy with it. i agree with litscot that the ammo could be a little cheaper, not that much better then walmart in my area. I have used Remington Core Lokt for years and is the most consistant, reliable hunting round I've found in .30-06. This price is good but could be a little bit better. (Posted on 8/29/11)Ammo Performance Bargain? Reliable?

Q: What is the difference between PSP and Core -Lokt ? Some say just PSP and some say Core-Lokt.
Posted On: 10/1/11 By: Steve
A: The Core-Lokt line from Remington includes PSP (pointed soft point) bullets as well as standard soft points (SP) and hollow points (HP).
Q: What is the difference between the PSP and the SP in Core-Lokt? I know the SP is more rounded and the PSP is more pointed. But, the one's on your website that I am looking at are both 180 grain and are practically the same price. What else is different about them and why would a person choose one over the other?

A: Put simply, the Remington Core-Lokt SP bullet will have better terminal performance against soft targets within 200-250 yards. The PSP is more aerodynamic and will shoot flatter past 300 yards.
