Ammo performs flawlessly in my Aresnal AK. No feeding, extraction, or ejection problems. Not a single misfire either (after nearly 1000 rounds). I've always heard that Russian ammo shots dirty but I really don't notice that too much with TulAmmo. Great value and service (rapid shipping). I'll definitely buy from BulkAmmo again. This ammo is worth every penny! I have been able to shoot small targets at 100yds consistantly with my AK47. Only downfall is that it is kind of dirty, but not excessively. (Posted on 1/5/12)Reliable? Ammo Performance Bargain? -
Good range ammo

I shot about 250 rounds out of my AK with no misfires or jams. Ammo worked excellent in that aspect. Good price and good reliability. Only drawback is the accuracy. Q: Will the steel increase wear in my Mini 30 vs. other projectiles?

A: No, the hardened steel components of your Mini-30 are much tougher than the mild steel cases or the copper/steel/copper bimetal jackets used in this ammo.
Q: do these come in a sealed can or individual boxes.

A: This ammunition comes in 20rd boxes which are then packaged inside a thick plastic "bag" containing 500 rounds. The "bag" is quite durable and will help protect the ammunition from moisture.
Q: Is this ammo the military grade? i.e. does it have a sealed primers and bullet seats?

A: Effectively, these Tula steel cased 7.62x39mm rounds are not reloadable without a lot of effort, care, time, and ingenuity.
Q: Do the bullets used in this ammo contain steel? My range won't allow steel.

A: This line of Tula 7.62x39mm ammunition is considered "bi-metal" which features projectiles that have a lead core enclosed in a steel jacket that is then enclosed in a 100% copper jacket or coating. This ammunition is considered magnetic due to the steel used in the projectiles so check your range to ensure that it doesn't have any non-magnetic requirements prior to purchasing!
