Details
This 7.62x39mm cartridge by Brown Bear is a great choice for hunting, but not for brown bear itself. Its 125 grain projectile’s jacket stops short to expose its soft lead core at the tip, which enables it to deform, tumble, and otherwise do heightened damage as it passes through a soft target. Turn your AK-47 into an effective weapon for hunting deer and hog, and take heart that with 500 of these rounds you’ll be a formidable barrier between ne'er-do-wells and the contents of your home.
Brown Bear’s ammo is surprisingly easy on the wallet, primarily because it implements steel casings instead of brass ones. Affordable steel is made to feed and extract far more easily in a semi-auto thanks to Brown Bear’s distinctively colored lacquer coating. Please note that this round’s bullet wears a bi-metal jacket, which along with its ferrous, Berdan primed casing means that it attract a magnet.

i been using this ammo for years in my mini-30, just as good as i expected.
if you find this ammo is dirty, clean your gun sometimes, even if you use so called clean ammo it is still a good thing to clean your gun once in a while.. (Posted on 8/22/2013)

Know some people that have had trouble with putting Brown Bear .223 through their ARs. I got some Brown Bear 7.62x39 for my AKMS. Worked really well, no failures. Dirty as hell, but reasonably priced (compared to everything else).
It may not be the best quality, but the AK and SKS were designed to eat crummy Russian ammo like this. (Posted on 7/4/2013)

I heard a lot of negative comment's from friends about Brown Bear ammo, but my Russian SKS eats it like fat kid eats candy, just as fast as you feed it to him. (Posted on 8/30/2012)
