Federal Premium’s American Eagle series 9mm ammo is an excellent way to develop the skills you need to defend yourself. These range loads are more affordably priced than self-defense ammo because they are outfitted with plain and simple full metal jacket projectiles. It will not expand after plunging into a soft medium at high velocity, but the FMJ’s similar ballistic performance to that of a JHP means this ammo is a budget-friendly and effective way of getting a feel for how your pistol would perform during a life-threatening altercation.
This round’s noncorrosive Boxer primer and clean-burning powder propel its nonmagnetic 124 grain projectile to a muzzle velocity of 1,150 fps in conjunction with a 4” barrel. Federal’s ammo features new and reloadable brass cases, and it is made in the great state of Minnesota.
