Happiness is a warm barrel! If you’ve got a restless trigger finger and an AR-15 that hasn’t seen light of day for an unacceptably long amount of time (i.e. any amount of time), then we’ve got bulk 223 Rem ammo that’ll soothe your high-volume shooting soul!
No fancy packaging on this particular ammo. That’s because it’s made by the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, which is more concerned with supplying small arms munitions to the U.S. Armed Forces that it is with the likes of you. It’s fine range and target ammo, complete with standard 55 grain full metal jacket projectiles and a conventional muzzle velocity of 3,240 fps. Don’t expect any terminal expansion from the FMJ (although terminal fragmentation is nearly certain at close-to-medium range). Lake City’s bullets are 100% nonmagnetic.
Noncorrosive Boxer primers? You bet! Reloadable virgin brass cases? Absolutely. Lake City’s cases aren’t all shiny, but that’s only because military-grade brass doesn’t receive a fine polish after it is heat-treated. Any discoloration you see is purely surface level.
