Purple’s association with royalty dates back about 3,500 years. Phoenician aristocrats used to crush up thousands of Murex snails to create this lovely purple dye for their robes, and they’d be dashed if they’d go through so much trouble only to let commoners wear the color as well.

After all this time, having purple things still makes you feel like a king. You’ll certainly feel like the king of the range with this distinctive 223 Rem ammo by Winchester, which was made for the Department of Homeland Security for its training exercises. The casing is reloadable in addition to attractive, and the perfect complement to your all-purple tactical gear.

This cartridge is loaded with a 62 grain projectile. As an open tip, its aperture indicates that the bullet’s core settled into place while still in its liquid state, so its both voidless and positioned toward the base to ensure superior rotational stability in flight. Perfect for casual plinking and more serious sessions that are focused on accuracy!

A: Hi Dean. Thanks for reaching out to us at BulkAmmo.com. This open tip ammo does not have the steel core found in the 5.56 62 grain rounds. It is lead core, no penetrator pen and brass casings with plating. Perfect for range and defense. Have a great day Dean. Ronnie
