This 40 S&W ammunition by Federal is going to keep you safer while you’re taking care of target practice – not just from ricochets and splash-back, but from lead inhalation as well.
RHT stands for Reduced Hazard Training. This round’s 125 grain bullet gets that name because it is made of sintered copper and tin powder, which means it’s going to disintegrate as soon as it connects with a sheet of steel, slab of concrete or piece of stone. A frangible bullet like this can’t fling jagged bits of lead or copper back at the firing line!
The RHT bullet hasn’t got any lead inside of it, in fact. Not only is the heat of ignition incapable of producing any aerosolized lead vapor – impact can’t disperse toxic particles into the air, either. That makes Federal’s BallistiClean ammo indispensable for training at indoor ranges where the air is stagnant.
This round’s bullet is light without lead. At 125 grains it’s going to screech out of a 4” barrel at a rate of 1,300 fps, which in turn delivers an unusually flat trajectory at close range. This ammo’s bullets are special, but its brass cases are normal – and reloadable!
