Details
Shooters love Federal Premium’s Champion series ammunition. We suspect many of them would marry it if they could. All of this is to say that you don’t want to sit on this opportunity. We will sell out of this ammunition soon, and we’d rather only do so after you’ve ordered your share!
Champion ammunition owes its many appreciators to its cost-effective design. Rather than cupping and drawing the 124 grain full metal jacket’s exterior, Federal took the more economical approach and plated its lead core. The plating is still copper. It cannot attract a magnet. But it also cannot proceed through a ported barrel or recoil compensator without posing a risk of injury to the shooter. Non-ported barrels and muzzle devices only!
This cartridge’s 1,090 fps velocity was recorded at a 4” test barrel’s muzzle. Expect lower velocity if your barrel is shorter; the opposite, if it is longer. A carbine is certain to give this ammunition supersonic (~1,125+ fps) muzzle velocity.
This American-made ammunition’s brass cases aren’t remanufactured. They are new, and a popular choice for handloading target-grade cartridges.
