Prvi Partizan loaded this ball ammo in Serbia, not Russia. As such its 182 grain full metal jacket lacks a Russian bullet’s characteristic bimetal jacket. Saw this round’s FMJ in half and you’ll only find lead and copper alloy – neither of which can attract a magnet!
This cartridge’s non-corrosive primer and clean-burning propellant are paired to deliver a 2,624 fps muzzle velocity out of a 28.5” barrel. (The M91/30’s barrel is 29” long.) PPU loads this ammo with new production and previously unfired brass cases – they’re discolored around their necks because they were heat-treated without being polished afterward.
If you’re a handloader, then you might be excited to see this ammo’s brass cases. Unfortunately, this ammo’s Berdan primers would make reloading it an awful challenge. But if you don’t handload, then you’re not going to notice any difference between this ammo and a Boxer-primed equivalent.
